This Kitchen sits at the back of a important family space and interacts with both living and dining areas.
Abode magazine covered the attractive restoration of a Christchurch villa by Ingrid Geldof. The Oak back panels and island joinery provide the contrast to the level off white joinery. The marble and timber benches, hand painted framed joinery and joinery detailing provide the right look. We worked closely with architects Sheppard and Rout along with the clients to create a wonderful space and the result was an award-winning kitchen and home.
The ceiling joists were exposed and fresh timber floors laid providing texture and warmth. Adequate bench space and obscure appliance area gave flexibility in this unfold apartment space. This apartment kitchen was plain in form yet provided the clients with all the storage requirements needed. ID’s Lydia Geerlings won superior renovated bathroom, superior South Island kitchen and the coveted Fresh Zealand Bathroom Design of the Year award for a Christchurch bathroom and kitchen.
The level bathroom had all a vast feel with its hot timber cabinets and minimalistic free standing bath and double showers the stunningly plain kitchen was the feature of the show homes living and dining room.
