We visit the region’s only Aroma Room where you can experience many sensuous aromas commonly identified in wine. Jake personally guarantees every tour experience, if you are in any way unsatisfied with your tour Jake will make it right. Jake is a trained wine industry professional with a love for service and professionalism. He studied Viticulture and Oenology at Lincoln University and has worked in both the vineyard and the winery to gaining practical industry experience which compliments his theoretical background.
Before his formal wine training he traveled around New Zealand, France and Italy gaining local wine knowledge and experience of some of the finest wines in the world. He enjoys continued education in Economics, Physics, Ecology, Environmental Management and Politics as well as Rock Climbing, Running, Photography and Guitar amongst a myriad of hobbies that keep him active and passionate about life. His team are instilled with the same commitment to providing excellence in service and ensuring that every customer has the best possible experience. Mathew has over 12 years experience in the wine industry working in Cellar Doors, Vineyards and Wineries he joined NZ Wine Tours in 2015 and became a Partner in 2016.
For the last 6 years Mathew has been settled in Central Otago and has fallen in love with the world famous Pinot Noir from this region.
